I'm Lima. My husband Tareq and I are foodies who love developing recipes for wicked good food. Both of us come from a long line of passionate culinary explorers who love discovering new food styles and cuisines, and recreating them at home.
We are lucky to live in Forest Hills Gardens, Queens, where there is no lack of inspiration. In this part of New York, ethnic food is king. The cuisine styles range from region-specific Chinese food, Indian dishes from the Mughal dynasty to the latest Instagram craze. Even though we are locals, we have been unable to try some of the restaurants because the lines are so long! We make a point of planning our vacations around food and are currently exploring the Hudson Valley.
While eating out is great, we love homecooked meals. There is nothing more comforting than the smell of bread baking, the fragrance of piping hot biriyani as you finally uncover the pot or that sweet smell you get as you take a bubbling blueberry pie out of the oven. Lets not even talk about the wonders of leftovers!
